She also spent a summer in Mount Ida, Arkansas interning as a videographer for a large summer camp. While at Western Illinois, she served as an executive producer, anchor, and reporter for WIUTV-NEWS3. She was awarded two student pillar awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Mid-America Chapter for her work in light news reporting and for a show she produced.
Megan and her husband, Tanner, have two dogs, Lucy and Margo. They enjoy being involved in their church, watching ‘The Office’ and going out for breakfast.
