Lauren Turman

From: West Chester, Pennsylvania

Lauren Turman joined the KRCG 13 team in June of 2022. She is a 2022 graduate of Hampton University, earning her B.A. in Journalism.

At a young age, Lauren realized her love for journalism while doing announcements and broadcasts for her home church. She participated in summer journalism programs to help expand her interest in storytelling and writing.

Lauren is versatile in her media background, having experience with both broadcasting and public relations. She has completed internships with NASA Earth Science Applied Sciences Program, The Emma Bowen Foundation, and been a Disney on the Yard Program participant. She was also a reporter for two years and anchored for one at Hampton University’s broadcast, WHOV-TV.

Lauren is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She enjoys dancing, reading, and traveling.
