Terry Walker will be the new head football coach at Jefferson City High School.

Jefferson City Public Schools interim Athletic Director Dennis Licklider introduced Walker as the Jays coach Wednesday afternoon at Adkins Stadium.

Walker replaces Ted LePage, who resigned following the 2017 season. Walker spent the last three seasons as head football coach at Blair Oaks High School. He guided the Falcons to a 37-3 record, making two appearances in the state semifinals. The Falcons never lost a regular season game under Walker.

Walker, a 1985 Jefferson City High graduate, was an all-state linebacker for the Jays under legendary coach Pete Adkins. Walker went on to play two years at Missouri and two years at the Air Force Academy.

Following 22 years of service in the United States Air Force, Walker returned home and served as an assistant coach for the Jays for two years before taking over at Blair Oaks in 2015.
