Michael Porter Jr. will begin his NBA career in Denver after the Nuggets selected him with the 14th pick in the NBA Draft.

Porter came to Mizzou as the nation's No. 1 recruit. But back surgery cost him most of his only college season.

Porter played just two minutes of the 2017-2018 season opener Nov. 10 against Iowa State. He had back surgery later that month. At the time, MU announced he would likely miss the rest of the season.

But Porter made it back in time for the SEC Tournament. He scored 12 points on 5-of-17 shooting in a loss to Georgia. Porter recorded a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) in Missouri's only NCAA Tournament game, a 67-54 loss to Florida State.
