COLUMBIA - A familiar face will be in uniform for the Missouri women's basketball team Sunday.

Rock Bridge graduate Cierra Porter will come out of medical retirement to play the rest of her senior season. Porter announced in June she would not play this season after suffering several knee injuries over the years.

“We are obviously very excited to welcome Cierra back,” Missouri head coach Robin Pingeton said in a statement. “She has had a very successful three years here, she brings great experience, and adds much needed depth to our post position. After allowing her knee to calm down and get some rest with some time away, Cierra started feeling pretty good again and wanted to see if she could make one last run at it.”

Porter averaged 10.6 points per game in her first three seasons as a Tiger. She earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors in 2015-16.

Missouri will host Arkansas State at 2:00 on Sunday.
