Woman found dead in remains of Missouri fire

REEDS SPRING, Mo. (AP) — Authorities in southwest Missouri are investigating after a woman's body was found in the remains of a brush fire.

The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District responded to the fire call west of Reeds Spring. Crews found the body of a woman near a home in the area of the fire.

KYTV reported Saturday that the woman has not been identified, and investigators have not yet determined how she died.
