Winter weather postpones groundbreaking for new Jefferson City high school
JEFFERSON CITY —
The groundbreaking ceremony for the second Jefferson City high school was postponed Friday.
It was set for Saturday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m.
According to a tweet from the Jefferson City Public School District the event was canceled due to the potential for inclement and extremely cold temperatures.
The school district rescheduled the groundbreaking ceremony for the second high school to Saturday, February 17 at 11 a.m.
School officials said the name of the new school will also be released at the ceremony.
