Winter Storm Warnings extended and upgraded in mid-Missouri

Winter Storm Warnings for January 11th-13th, 2019

Winter Storm Warnings issued by the National Weather service were extended in area and upgraded in severity for a few counties in mid-Missouri early Friday morning.

A Winter Storm Warning for Benton, Morgan, Miller, Maries, Camden, Phelps, and Pulaski County begins Friday at 6 a.m. and lasts through late Saturday evening.

A Winter Storm Warning for Moniteau, Cole, Callaway, Osage, Gasconade, Boone, Audrain, and Montgomery County begins Friday at Noon at lasts through last Saturday evening.

A Winter Storm Warning for Chariton, Randolph, Cooper, Howard, Pettis, and Saline County begins Friday at 3 p.m. and lasts through late Saturday evening.

All initial warnings and advisories were upgraded Friday morning due to the latest amount of potential snow accumulations.

On average, 5 to 6 inches of snow accumulations are possible for all of mid-Missouri by Saturday evening. On the high end, up to 8 inches are possible for areas east of 63 and closer to St. Louis. With sleet and a wintry mix early on Friday, snow totals may only reach 3 inches on the low end.
