Two men are in custody in the Osage County Jail after deputies say their truck ran out of gas Wednesday a short distance from a house they had just robbed.

According to Osage County Sheriff Mike Bonham, a truck being used by Kenneth Golden, 26, of Belle, and Shane Naber, 26 of Cuba ran out of gas off of Highway 100 near Linn. A deputy noticed the two knocking on doors and decided to investigate.

After making contact with the suspects, the deputy got a call that a nearby house had just been burglarized. The deputy saw items in the back of the truck that matched the description of items stolen in the burglary.

Golden and Naber were taken to the Osage County Jail where they remain awaiting charges.
