BOONE COUNTY — Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F reported Sunday a semi truck hit a tow truck that was helping another semi after a slide-off.
According to the crash report, a tow truck and semi were stationary early Sunday morning after a slide-off on I-70 westbound near mile marker 136. Around 6:10 a.m., 65-year-old Teddy Daf, driving a semi, failed to see the stationary vehicles and he struck them.
Troopers said Daf's semi and the semi being towed had extensive damage. Daf was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
