President Trump's fourth trip to Missouri attracted hundreds of supporters and protesters in downtown Kansas City.

More than 200 demonstrators greeted President Trump with chants and signs.

People showed up for the demonstrations several hours before the president arrived in Kansas City.

The president gave a speech to veterans at the Veterans of Foreign Wars national convention. He then attended a fundraiser for Josh Hawley.

Kansas City Protesters and supporters crowded street corners just so their president could to hear their message.

"It is important for us to use our voices in this democracy that we have. I'm afraid that in his rhetoric he tries to take that voice away for me by calling the press names and calling us names who are out her," Trump protester Jennifer Guinner said.

Trump supporter Selam O'Brien said he was there to show Pres. Trump his gratitude.

"We are here because we feel like he doesn't get enough support, especially from millennials. There is a lot of resistance. We just want to thank him for all that he's done."

Kansas City police blocked off several streets for the peaceful demonstrations. They also patrolled the area on horseback.

Police reported no major disturbances because of the presidents visit.
