AUDRAIN COUNTY — The executive director of the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys has entered the race for a circuit judge.
Jason Lamb announced Tuesday that he will seek the Republican nomination for Circuit Judge of the 12th Judicial Circuit, comprised of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren counties, according to a release. Lamb formerly served as the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney.
“When we choose people to be our judges we expect certain things from them,” Lamb said in the release. “We expect that they will make decisions based on the evidence and the law, and that they will treat all people as equals under the law. We have to maintain public trust in our justice system and make sure everyone knows that there won’t be special treatment and people will be treated fairly. We are divided on so many issues today, we must find unity under the rule of law. But, in order to do that, we need judges who value integrity, and whose actions promote faith and confidence in the justice system.”
The Republican primary will be held in August, 2018.
