Police identify husband and wife in what investigators call murder-suicide

The Jefferson City Police Department said they are treating the deaths of a Jefferson City husband and wife as a murder-suicide.

Around 4:17 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to the 100 block of Garfield Street. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the bodies of 52-year-old Bobby Clines and his wife, 46-year-old-Mary Clines inside the home. Investigators said both of them had gunshots wounds, and they were declared dead on the scene.

The police department said it was attempting to develop a motive for the shooting. Investigators said an autopsy has been scheduled, and detectives are conducting follow up investigations related to this incident.
