Police arrest one suspect, search for another in Columbia armed home invasion

COLUMBIA — One suspect was arrested and police were looking for another in connection with a Wednesday night armed home invasion.

Officers responded to the 100 block of West North Cedar Lake Drive and learned two men had forced their way into a home while showing firearms. They stole an undisclosed amount of property, according to a press release.

Detectives arrested Christopher T. Russell, a 19-year-old from Columbia, on suspicion of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. The second suspect had not yet been identified.
