Police are searching for Phillips 66 armed robbery suspect

COLUMBIA--Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Phillips 66 early Tuesday morning. Officers responded to the call about 5am at the Phillips 66 on 2200 West Ash Street.

Police reports indicate that a male of unknown race entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

The Boone County Sheriff's Department K-9 unit assisted in tracking the suspect, but had negative results. There were no injuries during the robbery.

The suspect was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, jeans, and a bandana over his face. He is a 5'9" thin male of unknown race, and is armed with a handgun.
