The Callaway County Emergency Management Agency said Monday morning monetary donations were still being accepted by the Red Cross for the victims of a Holts Summit apartment fire.

EMA Director Michelle Kidwell said the agency was no longer accepting material supplies and donations until a specific need was listed.

Coordinators with the American Red Cross said monetary donations better help clients with what they need.

Coordinators said as of Monday afternoon only about 30 people would be staying overnight at the shelter set up at Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit. Coordinators said most families have found a place to stay.
