Missouri Task Force 1 waiting for Hurricane Michael to make landfall
Missouri Task Force 1 touched down in Montgomery, AL Wednesday morning as they prepared for Hurricane Michael.
16 members from Task Force 1 brought boats, water rescue equipment and decontamination supplies to help with water rescues.
Wednesday's deployment was the team's third deployment to assist with hurricane relief efforts in the past 47 days.
The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Michael was expected to be one of the Florida Panhandle's worst hurricanes in memory, with destructive wind, up to a foot (30 centimeters) of rain and a life-threatening storm surge of up to 13 feet (4 meters).
President Trump was briefed Tuesday night on the storm's possible impacts. The White House said the federal government would be available to support the state and local response efforts.
