Missouri Task Force 1 deployed to Panama City for search and rescue mission
PANAMA CITY, Fla. —
Missouri Task Force 1 was deployed to Panama City, Florida, to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Michael Thursday morning.
According to a Facebook update, the team left the Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama to help state and local response efforts in Panama City.
The 16-person Swift-water Mission Ready Package joined three other Mission Ready Packages from Indiana Task Force 1, Virginia Task Force 1 and Ohio Task Force 1.
The Facebook post also noted that MO-TF1 sent three more members to support the FEMA Incident Support Team.
Those members left Wednesday night and were deployed to Pensacola Thursday morning.
