As of 2:06 p.m., there are over 2,000 positive COVID-19 cases in the state.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 2,113 positive COVID-19 cases in Missouri on Friday.

According to the DHSS, 19 people have died from the virus. Approximately 21,191 people have been tested.

Currently, state officials don't report how many people have been hospitalized from the virus or how many people have recovered.

However, DHSS Director Dr. Randall Williams said "Its incredibly important" to the Governor that the state is "as transparent as possible," and the DHSS will be releasing these numbers soon.

"We think education and giving out facts and data really help decrease anxiety. So, starting Friday, we will release the throughput of those patients who were admitted, how long they stay in the hospital, and the severity of their condition," Williams said.
