    Every year, Missouri River Regional Library partners with Adult Basic Literacy Education for the MRRL/ABLE Book Sale.

    It’s one of the largest sales of its kind in the Midwest, and all the proceeds benefit both ABLE and MRRL.

    Held at the Knights of Columbus hall in St. Martins, the banquet hall was filled to the brim with thousands of paper and hardback books, cook books, movies, and games.

    The books varied in prices from $1 to $4 and were all gently used and donated.

    This year, was the 22nd year ALBE had partnered with MRRL.

    ABLE's focus is helping adults over the age of 16 in the community who are not up to speed on their reading capabilities.

    Partnering with Jefferson City School district, ABLE also works with over 70 junior high school students s as part of the #jcreads initiative.

    If you have any books you would like to donate to the book sale. you can drop them off at the Missouri River Regional Library.
