The Missouri Department of Economic Development will work with any community across the state that meets the scope of the proposal. Currently, the state and its partners are reviewing the proposal from Amazon and are preparing a response.

Local officials of St. Louis and Kansas City have already announced their intentions to submit a bid.

Amazon is expecting to make a capital investment of $5 billion and create up to 50,000 jobs with an average wage exceeding $100,000 per employee.

Amazon is seeking sites with a population of more than 1 million people.
