Man flown from Jefferson City business after marble slabs fall on him
JEFFERSON CITY —
An employee of a Jefferson City countertop business was injured in a work-related accident Tuesday morning.
At approximately 8:50 a.m., the Jefferson City Fire Department responded to Mid-Missouri Surfaces on Algoa Road for a man with serious injuries. According to fire officials, three marble slabs weighing 1,000 pounds each shifted and fell on a man.
The man was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. According to Mid-Missouri Surfaces, the man was still hospitalized as of Wednesday morning.
