A judge has dismissed a case brought by Business Loop 70 resident Jennifer Henderson against the Business Loop 70 Community Improvement District.
Henderson had complained that CID violated election laws with its election to pass a half-cent sales tax within the boundaries of the district. The tax passed in December by a 4-3 vote. Henderson objected to the fact that the ballot was not secret and election officials failed to notify voters in a timely manner that an election was to be held.
Tuesday, Judge Jodie Asel dismissed the case without prejudice.
