A Jefferson City man faces charges of knowingly selling a firearm to a convicted felon after an undercover sting operation exposed his attempt to sell eleven guns to an undercover informant.

According to a complaint filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, 40-year-old Victor Vargas had telephone contact with the undercover informant, a convicted felon, about the possibility of obtaining firearms.
