I-70 reopens after fiery crash closes it for hours

Interstate 70 reopened in both directions in Cooper County Friday morning after the Highway Patrol responded to a major crash late Thursday night at the 110 mile marker.

The patrol tweeted out photographs of the crash appearing to show a large fire coming from one of the vehicles involved.

The Boone County Fire Protection District sent two tanker trucks to put out the fire.
