Former sheriff's office clerk accused of stealing money from commissary funds
MONITEAU COUNTY —
The Moniteau County Sheriff's Office said a former office clerk was in custody after she reportedly stole money from the sheriff's office.
Jessica Lamble, of Tipton, was accused of four counts of felony stealing and one count of tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.
According to a news release, Lamble was fired by the sheriff's office. After conducting an internal audit, the department said Lamble entered funds into the system of the inmate commissary funds but the funds were never deposited.
Sheriff Tony Wheatley said Lamble confessed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Cash and checks were reportedly recovered from her residence.
She was released after posting bond.
