Fire claims life of four-year-old

A four-year-old boy has died after a fire Friday afternoon in Columbia.

The child has been identified as Zadrian Harper.

Firefighters were called to the duplex in the 2700 block of Quail Drive at 12:18pm.

When they got there, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home.

Firefighters found Zadrian in a bedroom. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

There was one adult and three other children in the home at the time of the fire. They were not injured.
