Drug suspects arrested after sending 23 pounds of marijuana through mail

Officers arrested two men Monday afternoon after FedEx inspectors and law enforcement served a drug-related warrant in regards to a package.

The Columbia Police Department stated that a package addressed to “Wrong” at 3247 Wind River Circle, Columbia, Missouri 65203 was found to contain 23 individually vacuumed sealed plastic bags of marijuana, each weighing approximately one pound.

As officers served the warrant, they made contact with Roeun Rey. As they were preparing to clear the residence of any persons, the roommate/family member of Roeun Rey, identified as Bunrong Rey arrived at the residence, a release stated. Roeun Rey and Bunrong Rey were taken into custody at that time.

During the search of the residence, officers found approximately 53 pounds of marijuana. The majority of the marijuana was packaged in a similar fashion as the initial box collected from FedEx. Officers also found more than $20,000.00 in a plastic bag, packaging material and a Ziploc vacuum sealer in the residence as well.
