Capital City High has proposed school colors and mascots to brand the second Jefferson City high school, leaving the final decision to a community vote.

The Capital City High School Mascot and Colors Committee met March 1 to review the nearly 1,200 ideas submitted by the community. On March 8, the committee narrowed each category down to three options.

Voters can choose between Cavaliers, Panthers or Ravens as the school's mascot.

The options for the school's colors are Carolina blue and gray, royal blue and silver or royal purple and gray.

Public voting is open until March 21. Community members can vote on the Jefferson City Public Schools district website.

The official mascot and school colors will be announced March 23 on the JCPS Facebook page.
