Jefferson City family loses home in overnight blaze

Fire officials say a single-family home is a "complete loss" after an overnight blaze.

A single-family residential home was a complete loss after a fire Wednesday morning.

Assistant Chief Tim Grace with the Jefferson City Fire Department said the fire began just after 12:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Kenborg Hills in Jefferson City.

Grace said it took firefighters 15 minutes to get the flames under control and that there were no reported injuries.

Jefferson City Fire Department and Jefferson City Police said an investigation would be conducted into the cause of the blaze.

At this time officials said they have no reason to believe the fire was suspicious.
