LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Emergency crews have recovered the body of a man floating in the Lake of the Ozarks.
Sergeant Scott White of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the water patrol had been sent out to the 2 mile marker of Gravois Mills after a local resident called 911 at about 12:30 Friday afternoon.
The body was found later at around 1 p.m. The man has not been identified at this time, and the name will not be released until the family has been identified.
Sgt. White says foul play is not suspected.
Morgan County Sheriff Jim Petty says they received a call for a check of well-being in the area where the body was located on Tuesday.
Petty says a call for well-being check is usually issued when a family member has not seen or heard from a person for awhile.
He says he believes the two incidents are related.
KRCG 13 has a reporter on the way to the scene, and will provide more details as they become available.
