Authorities: Fulton man considered armed and dangerous now in custody

Callaway County Sheriff Office deputies confirmed Jerry Roberts was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after being on the run since early this morning.

A deputy found Roberts in the area of the 700 block of Vine Street. Roberts fled from the deputy on foot, and after a short pursuit, was captured in the 500 block of Grand Avenue.

The Fulton Police Department said Roberts is connected to a shots fired incident in the 500 block of Grand Avenue that officers responded to around 6:30 Saturday morning.

According to a news release, the Fulton native reportedly stole a handgun and fired shots at a vehicle following an argument.

Fulton police said he is in their custody on suspicion of stealing a firearm, two counts of trespassing, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon.
