Attic fire leaves Fulton home damaged

Fire crews of the Fulton Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival of the first engine company, heavy flames were showing from two-story Duplex. All occupants were exiting the structure upon arrival.

As crews arrived, occupants were constantly exiting the home.

Crews located an active fire in the attic of the building and were able to bring the fire under control within minutes. Fire was contained to the attic of the building, with other parts of the building receiving smoke and water damages.

A search of the structure was completed and confirmed all occupants were out.

Red Cross was called and assisted occupants with their personal needs. Fulton Fire Department investigators determined the fire was accidental.

Damages were estimated at $35,000.
