Armed and dangerous Phelps County burglary suspect arrested

A man wanted on suspicion of several crimes was arrested in St. Louis County Wednesday.

According to the Phelps County Sheriff's Department, law enforcement recveived information that Justin Giller, 26, was in the 200 block of Etta Avenue in St. Louis. Deputies found Giller inside a vehicle near the residence and arrested him. Giller was then transported to Phelps County.

Sheriff Richard Lisenbe had claimed Giller was "victimizing people in the southern portion of Phelps County. He travels through Phelps, Texas, Dent, and Pulaski Counties. He is suspected of burglarizing homes and stealing numerous vehicles."

The sheriff said Giller was charged withresisting/interfering arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, felony stealing and possession of burglarizing tools. His bond was set at $250,000.00.

“Working with other law enforcement agencies, we were able to pursue and take this dangerous subject off the street," Lisenbe said. "His reckless behavior endangered the lives of many innocent people, and he will be held accountable.”
