MOBERLY — Two residents were arrested Thursday during a traffic stop in Moberly Thursday.
Officers of the Moberly Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Rollins St and Clark St.
Officers made contact with Jason Roland and Lani Peacock. During a search of the vehicle, officers found 10 grams of methamphetamine, paraphernalia related to methamphetamine use, and a scale.
Roland and Peacock were placed under arrest and transported to the Moberly Police Department. While being transported to MPD Peacock admitted to having a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine concealed on her. The item was recovered by jail staff.
Formal charges were submitted to the Randolph County Prosecutor’s Office Thursday and both were formally charged through the Randolph County Courts.
A Randolph County warrant was issued for both Roland and Peacock for possession of a controlled substance.
Randolph's bond was set for $10,000, while Peacock's bond was set for $5,000.
