Charges pending after raid on Greenwood Street in Columbia

A raid on a central Columbia house uncovered methamphetamine for which police say charges are pending.

Columbia police conducted a raid on a residence in the 100 block of Greenwood Friday morning where they discovered methamphetamine for which they say charges are pending.

According to police, detectives with the Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant on the house at approximately 11 o'clock Thursday morning with the aid of the SWAT team. SWAT was used due to the history of calls and activity at the address, according to a press release.
