Thursday Morning Forecast (10/12/17)

KRCGThumbnail

It will be another chilly start across the area with cloud cover and fog in some of the lower lying areas. By the mid/late morning most of the clouds/fog should lift out of the area, followed by clear skies into the afternoon. High temperatures climb into the lower 70s.

EXTENDED FORECAST: The sunshine continues for Friday and temperatures are even warmer. Look for daytime highs in the 80s both Friday and Saturday. The next chance for rain looks to be late Saturday into Sunday morning as another cold front moves through the area. A few stronger storms are possible during the early overnight hours, with those in northwestern mid-Missouri at most risk to see some strong winds and isolated hail. The tornado threat that night doesn't look significant but it isn't nonexistent. The remnants of the line of storms will work its way out of the area by the afternoon on Sunday, and it'll be a dry start to next work week.
