Thursday Morning Weather (03/09/17)

Thursday brings the chance for showers and storms, particularly for those farther south/closer to the lake. Temperatures will warm quickly this afternoon, with highs in the lower-to-mid 70s.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Temperatures will start cooling off significantly as we head into the weekend. A cold front will move through by Friday morning, and downright cold air arrives by Saturday. An upper level pulse of energy tracks overhead Saturday, pulling Canadian air our way with high temperatures in the 30s. Snow will be likely with this clipper type system as well, starting during the overnight hours Friday ending by the later afternoon Saturday. Some accumulations will be possible, especially for those north of 70. As of now, slushy totals around 1-3 inches seem to be a good preliminary forecast. Look for updated information regarding snow totals and timeline in the coming days.
