Friday Morning Forecast (06/16/17)
Friday will be similar overall to yesterday with a few lingering showers and clouds during the early morning hours. By the late morning/afternoon, skies will continue to clear and we'll be sunny and warm. High temperatures climb into the upper 80s this afternoon with plenty of humidity. Storm chances return tonight after midnight and into early Saturday morning.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Saturday will be mostly dry after a few morning showers/storms, and it will be extremely humid. That combined with high temperatures in the lower 90s will lead to a heat index in the triple digits during Saturday afternoon. A line of strong storms looks to move in late Saturday night, and we could see some damaging wind gusts and hail 1-2" in spots. The line of storms will continue moving in during the overnight hours, with a few showers/storms lingering into Sunday morning. Slightly lower humidity returns by Sunday afternoon and into early next week with high temperatures dropping to the lower 80s.
