Thanks to a stationary front, a few thunderstorms will be possible this evening south of Jefferson City. Most of the area will stay dry tonight. A few clouds linger tonight but we'll find pleasant conditions as lows fall to the 60s.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Some storms will be possible over the weekend, but it will not be a washout by any means. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 80s with a small chance of storms late in the day. Sunday brings our best opportunity for thunderstorms as temperatures climb close to 90. The rain moves out by Monday afternoon and temperatures return to the 90s. We'll warm to the mid 90s by Wednesday with the Heat Index around 100 next week. Relief from the heat may arrive by next weekend.
