The Missouri State High School Activities Association has released football and basketball district assignments for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years. The assignments include new district homes for several area teams.
After spending several years as a Class 2 powerhouse, the Blair Oaks football team will move up to Class 3 next year. The Falcons will play in a district that includes seven other mid-Missouri schools.
Battle and Harrisburg will make their district debuts next year. Battle was placed in Class 5, while Harrisburg will compete in Class 1.
Jefferson City, Hickman and Rock Bridge remain grouped in the same Class 6 district. Kansas City power Blue Springs South will join the Jays, Kewpies and Bruins in that district.
In basketball, Tolton moves up from Class 2 to Class 3, while Battle jumps from Class 4 to Class 5.
