Mid-Missouri will be well represented at the finals of the MSHSAA Wrestling Championships. A dozen local grapplers will compete for state titles on Saturday night.
The Blair Oaks Falcons own the team lead in Class 1 after two days of competition with 88 points, 9.5 points ahead of Whitfield. Frankie Falotico (126 lbs), Logan Mudd (145 lbs) and Cole Kemna (170 lbs) all won semifinal matches on Friday night and will wrestle for state titles. Other local finalists in Class 1 include Tolton's Jaydin Clayton (138 lbs) and Will Tindal (182 lbs) and Centralia's Ethan Leighton (160 lbs).
Rock Bridge will send four wrestlers to state title matches: Josiah Kline (113 lbs), Jason Kiehne (138 lbs), Sam Crane (145 lbs) and Cody Maly (182 lbs). The Bruins set in second place in Class 4 with 105 team points. Park Hill leads the way with 108 points.
Fulton's Josh McClure (113 lbs) and Zach Benner (182 lbs) will wrestle for Class 2 titles. The Hornets sit in fourth place in Class 2 with 88 points.
