Bruins climb, Spartans fall in state football poll

A pair of Columbia schools moved in opposite directions in this week's state football rankings.

The Rock Bridge Bruins climbed three spots to No. 7 in this week's Class 6 poll. Rock Bridge improved to 7-1 after a 45-7 win over SLUH on Friday night.

The Battle Spartans dropped four spots to No. 8 in Class 5 after a 31-14 loss to Jefferson City.

Blair Oaks, Eldon, North Callaway and South Callaway all held their spots in their respective classes. Fayette climbed one spot to No. 7 in Class 1.
