      Tulsa introduces Haith as head coach

      The University of Tulsa introduced Frank Haith as their menâ??s basketball coach Friday.

      Haith told reporters that this process happened quickly. He said Tulsa contacted Missouri Athletic Director Mike Alden on Thursday and asked for permission to talk.

      "It took a place like this to leave Missouri," said Haith.

      Haith said he told his players at Mizzou that he was leaving this morning.

      The new Golden Hurricane coach thanked the University of Missouri and said Alden was "incredible" to him.

      Original story: According to KOTV in Tulsa, the University of Tulsa is expected to name their new men's basketball coach at a 1 p.m. press conference.

      Multiple sources, including CBS Sports' Gary Parrish, reported Thursday that Missouri's Frank Haith has agreed to replace Danny Manning in Tulsa, and will be introduced at the Friday afternoon press conference.

      Haith boarded a plane bound for Tulsa at the Columbia Regional Airport Thursday afternoon.

      Missouri reached the NCAA tournament twice under Haith in three seasons, losing both times on the first weekend. Mizzou went 24-12 this season falling in the NIT to Southern Miss.

      KRCG Sports Rod Smith reported that Missouri's Athletic Director Mike Alden will speak to the media at 11 a.m. about the Tiger basketball program.
