As the new Mizzou Men TMs Basketball Coach settles into his new job, his wife and family need to adjust from the big city of Miami to the college town of Columbia.
Missouri Men TMs Basketball Coach Frank Haith is looking for support from Mizzou fans after 7 seasons in Miami. He already has the support of his wife Pam, his son Corey and his daughter Brianna. Pam Haith says she already feels like she TMs part of the Mizzou family.
Pam Haith said, We TMre excited about matriculating into this community and becoming a part of a large family and these rich traditions. It TMs truly an honor and we consider it a blessing.
This is a tough transition for Corey Haith, 17, because he is leaving Miami during his senior year in high school. Corey plans to play basketball for either Hickman or Rock Bridge High Schools and attend every one of his father TMs home games at Mizzou Arena.
Corey Haith said, I TMll like going to basketball games that are packed and having fun with the basketball team and knowing that we will be part of a winning institution.
Brianna Haith, 6, approves of her dad TMs new job.
I think that it TMs a good thing that he comes and I hope he loves to coach here., said the coach TMs daughter. I hope he TMll help the players to be good in the games and that we will win the games.
Coach Haith said, I think it TMs going to be a little bit of an adjustment for them. I think we TMll be fine. We TMve lived in college towns before.
Coach Haith said with the help of his family, he TMll settle into Columbia. That will give him more time to recruit and hire a new staff.
During his remarks at his introduction, Coach Haith said Columbia is his home and that he TMll stay there as long as the University wants him there.
