MU assistant football coach retires

Bruce Walker is calling it a career.

The Missouri football assistant coach is retiring, the school announced Tuesday. Walker plans to move to Washington state to be close to his family.

Walker served as Missouri's tight ends coach and assistant offensive line coach from 2001-2008. He was named co-offensive line coach in 2009.

Walker first joined Gary Pinkel as an assistant at Toledo in 1996. He spent 18 years overall on Pinkel's staff.
