The Missouri men's basketball team has added another former Big 12 foe to the 2014-2015 schedule. The Tigers will play Oklahoma State on Dec. 30 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
The teams have played 118 times, with Missouri holding a 77-41 edge. Their most recent meeting came in Kansas City, with the Tigers winning 88-70 in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Big 12 Tournament.
â??In joining the Southeastern Conference two years ago, we talked about our commitment to our fans throughout Missouri, and in particular, our fans in Kansas City,â?? Missouri Director of Athletics Mike Alden said. â??We have tremendous fan support in this part of the state, and it is critically important to us as a University to have a strong presence in Kansas City. Athletics gives us an excellent opportunity to build on that presence, and weâ??re excited to host a major event in Kansas City once again this year."
Missouri will face two Big 12 teams during the non-conference schedule. The Tigers will play at Oklahoma on Dec. 5 as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
