Missouri wrestling continues to collect honors, even after the season.

The Tigers swept all three major postseason Mid-American Conference awards.

The MAC named Missouri head coach Brian Smith the league's Coach of the Year, J'den Cox Wrestler of the Year, and Jaydin Eierman Freshman of the Year.

Smith led Missouri to an 11-4 record this season, including a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Cox won his third individual national championship at 197 pounds, posting a perfect 28-0 record.

And, Eierman placed fifth at 141 pounds. He finished the season with a 29-7 record.

Smith told Mizzou Athletics that he's pleased with the overall performance of his team.

"I'm very proud of what our team accomplished this season," Smith said. "Even though they sometimes caused their own adversity, they learned from it. They learned from their mistakes and got better. There was a lot of talent on this team, and when the lights went on and it was time to perform, this team stepped up and accomplished a great deal this season."
