Michael Porter Jr. explains reason for choosing Missouri
COLUMBIA, Mo. —
Missouri commit Michael Porter Jr. can't wait to start his career as a Tiger.
Porter Jr., the No. 1 overall high school senior in the ESPN 100, released a blog on USA Today's High School Sports page Monday.
He claims the return to Columbia will be an easy transition.
"I’ve shot more shots at Mizzou Arena than I can count and worked out in the weight room a lot so I’m really comfortable with it," said Porter Jr.
Missouri is coming off one of the worst stretches in program history, winning just 27 total games the last three seasons. Porter Jr. isn't phased.
"I think we’re gonna surprise a lot of people. I’ve never been a guy to lose, ever, so I don’t expect to start next year," said Porter Jr.
Porter Jr. is currently in Chicago for the McDonald's All-American Game, which will be played on Wednesday, March 27.
