CBS Sports: Source says Michael Porter Jr. cleared for basketball activities
Missouri freshman forward Michael Porter Jr. may see the basketball court again this season.
According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Porter Jr. "has been fully cleared for all basketball activities, per source." He met with a doctor in Dallas Thursday.
Mizzou Basketball had stated in November PorterJr. was likely out for the year with a back injury. He underwent a microdiscectomy of the L3-L4 spinal discs Nov. 21 in Dallas. The top-ranked recruit coming out of high school, Porter Jr. played only two minutes in the season's opening game against Iowa State, scoring two points.
Mizzou plays at Kentucky Saturday at 7:15 p.m. The Tigers have one remaining home game March 3 against Arkansas.
